About Troop 4

2025 is our 100th consecutive year!

We are a chartered organization of the Boy Scouts of America, chartered with the First United Methodist Church, in DeKalb, Illinois.

Troop 4 has been continuously chartered since 1925, making it one of the oldest run Boy Scout Troops in DeKalb County.

Mission:  The mission of Boy Scout Troop 4 is to provide opportunities for boys 11 to 18 to have a fun, challenging, supportive and exciting scouting experience.

How does Troop 4 achieve our mission: Active, enthusiastic scouts supported by involved and supportive parents in an outdoor based boy run program that holds the scouts interest. We encourage the scouts to advance in rank so they have the skills to enjoy the opportunities presented, but not at the expense of fun.
